If you want a real X3 TC+ expreience take my advice get the old X3TC and download the Mod XTC, now that is a real experience. perhaps someone at Egosoft has a nasty mean streak and is still chuckling about adding this silly mission but missions that turn player off is not the way to progress. Now some players are resorting to cheat scripts (check the web) to get around this but what's the point of designing missions where skill count for nothing and luck/cheating is the way forward. So far I must have shot up hundreds and only get one, a M fighter, to bail. Won't tell you much more so as not to spoil things but unless you are very lucky and find an abandoned one floating about you have to get one to bail out on you during combat and with Xenon ships this is a very very rere occurance. The mission in question where I'm so frustrated that I cannot go on is the fastly becoming notorious deliver a Xenon L fighter to a station. I'm about to give up on this game and that says it all.
